Rough Day – Bull Shark Killed a Lemon Shark at an Aquarium in China

By Luke • Mar 5th, 2009 • Category: In The News, Ramblings

I always seem to run across shark stories. I guess they are the most action packed stories for a reason. Sharks! I guess there’s not a whole lot of “Yellow Tang” fights that get the attention of the news media.

I guess these two shared an aquarium for quite a while too, so they weren’t just thrown at each other recently:

A lemon shark was attacked and killed by a bull shark inside an aquarium tank they had shared for more than a decade.

The attack at the Xiaomeisha beach scenic spot in the Shenzhen special economic zone, Guangdong province, occurred on Monday at about 4 am.

Both sharks are about the same size. They had lived harmoniously for more than a decade and both are known for being fierce and cruel at sea.

The aquarium staff said it was not the first time the bull shark attacked other animals.
