Biodome de Montreal

By Luke • Sep 18th, 2008 • Category: Videos

The Biodome de Montreal is an interesting place. The facility was originally built in 1976 for the Olympic Games. It held judo and cycling events, and now is a biodome of sorts that acts as a walk-through for four ecosystems found in the Americas.

The Saint Lawrence Marine Eco-system portion of the biodome is of particular interest to the topics that this web site delves into. It is modeled after the marine habitats found in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in Quebec.

Check out this video to see more, pretty neat stuff. The marimba-laced music is interesting too.
